Founder, Lakpa Summit Expedition
Lakpa Tharke Sherpa is a professional trekking and climbing guide from Taplejung, a remote Himalayan region near Mt. Kanchenjunga. Growing up in the mountains gave him a deep connection to nature, culture, and high-altitude life.

Beyond Everest, he has climbed and guided numerous international clients on treks and expeditions to peaks such as Island Peak and across other Himalayan routes.
He began his career in 2011 in various support roles as a porter and kitchen helper, learning the realities of mountain life from the ground up. Through dedication and continuous training, he became a licensed climbing guide in 2014.
He is known for his strong leadership, safety-focused approach, and friendly personality. Lakpa communicates fluently in English, Korean, and Japanese, making him a trusted guide for international travelers.
